Travel Restrictions Next Week on Route 309 and Route 23 in Montgomery
County for Overhead Sign Structure Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Route 309 and Route 23 (Conshohocken
State
Road) in Montgomery County, next week for overhead sign structure
inspections,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
Weather permitting, the overhead sign inspection schedule is:
• On Monday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be closed
on
Route 309 north between Easton Road and Paper Mill Road in Cheltenham and
Springfield townships;
• On Tuesday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on
Route 309 south between Paper Mill Road and Greenwood Avenue in Springfield
and
Cheltenham Township; and
• On Wednesday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on Route 23 east (Conshohocken State Road) between Fairview Road and Hollow
Road) in Lower Merion Township.
The overhead sign structure inspections are part of PennDOT's program to
inspect signs structures at least once every two years. The inspections
ensure
the safety and overall condition of the structures.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.
