High Wind Warning (EXTENDED)

This is a message from ReadyPhiladelphia.


High Wind Warning EXTENDED until 7 PM. Damaging gusts up to 60 mph are expected. Power outages are possible.

... High Wind Warning now in effect until 7 PM EST this evening... 

* winds... northeast 25 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph.

* Timing... the winds are expected to gradually diminish through
early this evening.

* Impacts... strong winds will down some tree limbs... trees... and
power lines... resulting in some power outages. Travel can be
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. The strongest
winds tend to be on elevated surfaces such as bridges and
overpasses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is occurring.
Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or
more can lead to property damage.
