Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled in Philadelphia Region for Guiderail
and Barrier Repairs

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
lane
restrictions are scheduled on several state highways next week for
guiderail
and barrier repair in the Philadelphia region next week.
The work schedule is:
• On Monday, January 23, from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM, the left lane will be
closed
on Interstate 95 between Kerlin Street and Route 352 in Upland Borough and
the
City of Chester, Delaware County, for barrier replacement;
• On Tuesday, January 24, from 2:30 AM to 3:30 AM, the left lane will be
closed
on northbound I-95 between Highland Avenue and Interstate 476 in Upland
Borough, Chester and Ridley townships, Delaware County, for barrier glare
screen replacement;
• On Tuesday, January 24, from 3:30 AM to 5:00 AM, the left lane will be
closed
on northbound I-95 between Bartram Avenue and Island Avenue in Philadelphia
for
barrier glare screen replacement;
• On Wednesday, January 25, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, the left lane will be
closed on eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 between South Street and
Interstate 676 in Philadelphia for barrier replacement;
• On Thursday, January 26, from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM, the right lane will be
closed on westbound I-76 between South Street and I-676 in Philadelphia for
guiderail attenuator repair;
• On Thursday, January 26, from 10:00 PM to 12:01 AM, the left lane will be
closed between Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) and Academy Road in Philadelphia
for
barrier replacement; and
• On Friday, January 27, from 12:01 AM to 5:00 AM, the right lane will be
closed on southbound I-95 between Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) and Academy
Road in
Philadelphia for guiderail repair.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these
areas.
The work is weather dependent.
