Wind Advisory

This is a message from ReadyPhiladelphia.


Wind Advisory in effect from 12PM until 6PM. Gusts up to 50 mph are possible.  Exercise caution.

...Wind Advisory in effect until 6 PM EST this evening...

 

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind

Advisory...which is in effect until 6 PM EST this evening.

 

* Winds...west 15 to 20 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph.

 

* Timing...strongest winds 1PM to sunset.

 

* Impacts...strong winds may blow down limbs...trees...and power

  lines. Scattered power outages are expected.

 

* Situational Awareness...winds near 11 AM this morning have

  gusted to around 50 mph upstream, in the vicinity of Hagerstown

  Maryland and Martinsburg West Virginia.

 

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

 

A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for

high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor

objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be

secured.
