Emergency Management Partners and Stakeholders: Attached is our latest briefing package from the Nation Weather Service, Mt Holy for a coastal storm this Sunday through Monday night. A couple of main changes with this briefing package increased strong wing threat mainly in Eastern New Jersey, especially Ocean County northward.
Key Updates: A strong offshore storm will bring heavy rain, strong winds, coastal flooding, and at least some potential winter weather to the extreme north and west Sunday and Monday, some rain will linger into Tuesday.
Chester County Forecasted Conditions: • Anticipated Timing: Sunday afternoon into Monday night • Northeast Winds 5 -10 mph • Precipitation: 1 ½ -2 inches of rain • Active watches & warnings: Chester County is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook · THE PROBABILITY OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW TONIGHT · PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT COULD RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING. Impacts:
· The rain and wind could cause possible power outages, at this time due to uncertainty it is hard to forecast any river or stream flooding. Recommended Preparedness Actions:
